DELIVERIES AND RETURNS POLICY
1. DELIVERY
Free to Main City Centers in South Africa qualify for Free Delivery if your order value is over R1000. Delivery fees are calculated during checkout and may vary depending on delivery address. Delivery time: 3 – 5 working days.Free Delivery to outer urban areas in South Africa if your order value is over R3000. Otherwise delivery fees are calculated during checkout, depending on delivery address. Delivery time: 5 – 8 working days.
*Free Delivery* – Items that are of unusual or bulk in size may carry an additional delivery fee depending on the delivery address. You will be notified prior to checking out should any of your items require a special delivery fee.
2. DELAYED DELIVERY
In accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”), customers reserve the right to cancel their purchase with a notice of 7 days if the ordered products fail to arrive within the agreed delivery period outlined in the World of Music terms and conditions. To initiate cancellation, the concerned product(s) must be returned to World of Music in their original state, inclusive of all labels intact. Any cancellation requests should be directed to World of Music via email at sales@worldofmusic.co.za. Upon receipt of the returned items, World of Music will proceed with the refund process.
3. EXCHANGING NON-DEFECTIVE PRODUCT(S)
If your desired product is unavailable at World of Music, or if you prefer to select a different item, kindly adhere to the returns process for non-defective products as detailed in Section 9 below.
Please be aware that World of Music retains the prerogative to decline an exchange if the product being returned is not in its original packaging, with intact labels, and in a condition suitable for resale.
4. STOCK AVAILABILITY
World of Music endeavors to fulfill every order comprehensively upon the establishment of a purchasing contract or sale is affected. However, in instances where certain product/s within your order cannot be fulfilled during the packing process:
Upon identification of unfulfilled product(s), World of Music will promptly notify you via email. Additionally, store credit equivalent to the Rand value paid or World of Music gift vouchers utilized for the affected product(s) will be allocated to your World of Music account. Should you opt for a refund for the unfulfilled products, kindly notify us via email at sales@worldofmusic.co.za. Refunds will be processed to your credit card if the payment was made via credit card, or to your bank account if payment was made via EFT.
If a promotional or discount coupon was applied to the unfulfilled product(s), World of Music will not allocate the discount/coupon value as store credit. Please refer to the specific terms and conditions of the coupon for further details on the reinstatement process and delivery method.
In the event that World of Music fails to notify you via email regarding the unavailability of certain product(s) prior to parcel delivery, and you only become aware of the situation upon receipt of the parcel, please notify World of Music immediately at sales@worldofmusic.co.za. When contacting World of Music via email regarding missing product(s), please ensure to include your order number and indicate “missing product(s)” in the subject line for swift resolution of the issue.
5. INCORRECT, NON-DEFECTIVE AND DAMAGED GOODS
You have the right to return any purchase made through World of Music and delivered within South Africa at your own expense within 30 days of receiving the product(s). To receive a refund equivalent to the value of the purchased items being returned, the product(s) must be sent back to World of Music following the return procedure outlined in Section 9 below.
If, upon receipt of your purchase, you find yourself dissatisfied with your chosen product(s) or if the product is damaged, and you wish to return it for a refund as specified above, you must notify World of Music within 24 hours of delivery. Please keep the original packaging of the product(s) intact, with labels attached, and refrain from using the product. When returning the items, ensure they are in the same condition as received, in their original packaging with labels attached. Any damages incurred during return due to inadequate packaging will be deducted from the refunded amount.
As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, World of Music is committed to ensuring that product information, availability, purchase price, delivery times, and associated fees are accurately presented on the website.
In the event that World of Music inadvertently delivers the wrong product(s) to you, please refrain from removing the product from its original packaging, removing labels, or using the products. Kindly contact World of Music at sales@worldofmusic.co.za as soon as possible to notify us of the error. World of Music will promptly rectify the situation by arranging to collect the incorrect product(s) from you and delivering the correct product(s) as swiftly as possible. We advise against attempting to resolve the issue by placing another order for the same product you intended to purchase.
6. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
Certain products may be accompanied by a supplier’s guarantee, which will be clearly stated in the product listing on the site. Detailed information regarding these guarantees is provided in the listings, and no customer may request coverage beyond the guarantee specified in the product listing.
If, within 3 months of delivery, you discover that a product is faulty, not commercially acceptable, unsuitable for its intended purpose (or otherwise explicitly indicated by World of Music at the time of purchase), or not legally or reasonably durable, please contact World of Music at sales@worldofmusic.co.za to report the issue. World of Music may request images of the defective product and will arrange to collect it from you for inspection and If the product is indeed found to be defective, you are entitled to either a full refund or repair or replacement of the product at World of Music’s expense. If the product is found not to be defective and is commercially acceptable, you will not be entitled to repair, replacement, or refund, but will instead be responsible for the costs associated with returning the product to World of Music and redelivery to you.
